Her background includes managing over $1 billion in assets, serving in senior roles at major financial firms, and extensive work in due diligence, litigation finance, and expert testimony. She is also a frequent industry speaker and author, with a B.S. in Economics from Fordham University.

Philip Harris

Founder & CEO
SMA Capital

Philip Harris is the Founder and CEO of SMA Capital, with over 30 years of experience in finance and a focus on hedge fund strategies via single managed accounts (SMAs) since 2008. From 2022 to 2024, he worked at Interval Partners developing and marketing new hedge fund strategies aimed at the growing SMA investor base. Previously, he served as CIO of the Crestline Summit Equity Alpha Fund, which he helped grow to over $1 billion in AUM by implementing an open architecture platform and advanced risk management techniques.

From 2008 to 2015, Phil managed Global Long/Short and Healthcare equity funds at Lighthouse Investment Partners, pioneering multi-PM SMA structures. He began his asset management career at GAM and started in finance at UBS in 1990, later joining Swiss Bank and eventually leading UBS’s client-facing equity finance business. He was also a founding member of UBS’s Global Hedge Fund Committee. Phil holds an Economics degree from Durham University in the UK.

Joseph R. LaTurner

Joe has over 20 years of experience in finance and investments, having served as a professional money manager overseeing $400 million in Assets Under Management (AUM). He currently is a Partner at KJLK. KJLK is a financial consulting firm specializing in institutional fund development, feasibility studies, and access to alternative investments through a fund of funds. In addition to his industry experience, Joe has spent more than five years as a full-time university instructor at Northeastern State University (NSU), where he has taught courses such as Finance Principles, Investments, Portfolio Management, and Derivatives. He has also played an active role in mentoring students through the Student Managed Investment Fund and supporting the Battenfield-Carletti Investment Lab.

Joe holds a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) from the University of Tampa, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stetson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Central Florida.

Thomas Zucosky

Tom is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Lucidity Capital Partners, where he leads manager selection and portfolio management. With over 40 years of experience in alternative investments, he previously founded Discovery Capital and pioneered the multi-strategy SMA model now used by Lucidity. His past roles include senior positions in hedge fund due diligence at InvestorForce and Strategic Investment Group, as well as managing U.S. due diligence for Olympia Capital Management. He co-founded Aegis Capital in 1985 and holds a BS from the College of New Jersey and an MA from Montclair State University.
